Directed commissioning of world premieres as well as invitations of North American premieres of interactive art works.
2015 theme: INTERCONNECTIVITY:
Interconnectivity is the prevailing phenomenon of our time. Steady technological advances and an increasing convergence of the physical and digital realms are giving children new avenues and opportunities to learn, create, tell stories and connect with each other.
The 2015 edition of TIFF Kids digiPlaySpace celebrates all kinds of interconnectivity through a diverse range of innovative and imaginative hands-on play experiences. From World Premieres of large-scale interactive installations to fast-paced multi-player videogames; immersive green-screen adventures to brainwave-sensing animations; scratching and mixing on the world’s most advanced DJ system to experimenting with robotics, circuits, and much more, digiPlaySpace offers kids all kinds of exciting ways to explore our increasingly interconnected world!
